Archbishop Cordileone calls on faithful to pray Litany of the Sacred Heart Friday, June 16

Archbishop Cordileone is asking Catholics in the Archdiocese of San Francisco to pray the Litany of the Sacred Heart on Friday, June 16, the solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in reparation for the blasphemies against Him in the culture today.

“The President of the USCCB, Archbishop Timothy Broglio, along with Cardinal Timothy Dolan and Archbishop Jose Gomez, have asked parishes to pray the litany of the Sacred Heart this Friday, on the very Solemnity, ‘as an act of reparation for the blasphemies against our Lord we see in our culture today’ (cf: leaders of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops).  Although this is short notice, I would ask you, if possible, to find a way to observe this request.”
