Reentry Scholarship Stipend Fund
The Archdiocese of San Francisco Restorative Justice Ministry is offering a Reentry Scholarship Stipend Fund. Beginning in 2020, individuals who are on probation or parole can apply for this program. Those who are accepted will receive stipends to support their education financially, as well as individual mentoring.
The program works in collaboration with Excell Network, a non-profit under the aegis of Comunidad San Dimas.
The Reentry Scholarship Stipend Fund is financed through a grant to the California Catholic Conference restorative justice programs from the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD). CCHD, a program of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, works to break the cycle of poverty by providing grants to organizations throughout the country.
Are you on probation or parole?
If you’re interested in being a part of this program, the first step is to contact Julio Escobar, Restorative Justice Coordinator. If there are current stipends available for the upcoming semester and if the applicant meets the basic qualifications, an initial interview will be scheduled. Other questions can be directed to Julio as well.

- Students will be assigned a mentor or mentors with whom they will discuss their goals and progress.
- Students will also have the opportunity to network with mentors and professionals at breakfasts and speaking events.
- Occasional check-in meetings may be scheduled.
- Grades should be submitted at the end of the semester.
