A Young Man’s Education in the World of Fetal Trafficking
David Daleiden was the sole witness on October 23, recounting his self-education in the practices of fetal-tissue procurement, and his creation of an undercover investigation of that shadowy world. The trial now takes a scheduled break and will come back into session on Thursday, October 31, when Daleiden will continue his testimony.

Wednesday, October 23, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., David Daleiden was in the witness box. Under questioning from his attorneys, he recounted in detail two histories.
One was the genesis and development, beginning in 2010, of his personal knowledge of the practices and procedures by which aborted babies are converted into marketable commodities. He studied the practices of the “middleman” businesses called tissue-procurement companies, which harvest fetal tissues and organs and supply these human tissues to research labs and other users.
.
The other history, still incomplete when court adjourned for the day, was of how he created a mock middleman, a fetal-tissue-procurement company named BioMax, and how BioMax was warmly welcomed by abortion-industry professionals, both as an exhibitor at conferences sponsored by the National Abortion Federation (NAF) and Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA), and as a visitor to local Planned Parenthood affiliates. That testimony should continue when the Court reconvenes on Thursday, October 31.
View the ABC 20/20 Video that Inspired David Daleiden
As noted yesterday, the session of Tuesday, October 22, ended with the defense showing the jury the complete videotape that inspired David Daleiden back in 2010: an ABC-TV program produced nearly twenty years ago. You can view the same 20/20 Video the jury saw
at the Thomas More Society website. To quote from the Thomas More Society:
“In the biggest pro-life defense case in a generation, Planned Parenthood Federation of America v David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress, the freedom of the press is at stake. Planned Parenthood seeks to silence pro-life undercover journalist David Daleiden in a RICO lawsuit that could severely limit the freedom of the press in California for all undercover journalists. If the jury finds David Daleiden guilty, then any undercover journalist seeking to expose illegal activity and corruption in the government or private sector will be at risk of becoming the target of similar felony criminal prosecution in California.
“Today our defense team showed the jury a video entitled “Body Parts for Sale” produced by 20/20. The segment hosted by Chris Wallace aired on March 9, 2000. In this video, a 20/20 producer posed as a potential investor and secretly recorded an abortionist talking about the massive profits he made from the sale of body parts he harvested from the bodies of babies he aborted. David Daleiden first saw this video in 2010 and he was so inspired by it that he founded the Center for Medical Progress and began his own undercover investigation of the illegal sale of aborted baby body parts in California, known as the Human Capital Project.”

The covert videotapes that David Daleiden and his associates made at the abortion industry conferences they attended as exhibitors and at the abortion clinics that they visited as prospective middlemen between the providers of fetal tissues and the end-users of the tissues are also readily viewable at the
website of the Center for Medical Progress.
