Appalling miscarriage of justice today as a federal jury in San Francisco awarded Planned Parenthood millions in damages after the abortion giant’s role in alleged aborted baby parts trafficking was exposed in 2015 Center for Medical Progress undercover videos.
The defendants will appeal, said Life Legal Defense Foundation attorney Katie Short: “The jury was so lopsided that they found every one liable for recording people whose names were never mentioned in the trial. They found Susan Merritt liable for recording at conferences she did not know about. They found Albin (Rhomberg) liable for RICO (federal racketerring) conspiracy to make fake IDs that he had never heard about. They found all of the defendants liable for everything.”
The Office of Human Life & Dignity's Melissa Vlach was in the courtroom when the jury verdict was handed down. Her report from the scene is here:

The Thomas More Society, which defended Daleiden, released a written statement:
“Undercover journalist David Daleiden faced a major setback today in San Francisco’s U.S. District Court after a jury handed down a multi-million dollar (over $2.2 million) verdict under the federal Racketeering Influenced Corrupt Organizations (RICO) law, among others, in favor of abortion giant Planned Parenthood. The Thomas More Society has defended Daleiden against Planned Parenthood since the multibillion-dollar abortion provider sued him for exposing the corporation’s role in alleged illegal baby body parts trafficking. The lawsuit was brought by Planned Parenthood Federation of America and ten of its abortion affiliates after Daleiden’s 2015 release of a series of investigative videos that exposed the underbelly of the fetal tissue trade.”
