Feast of the Ascension Is Observed on Sunday, June 2

Ascension Day in 2019 is on Thursday, May 30, but the Feast and Holy Day of Obligation are observed on the following Sunday, June 2, in most dioceses in the United States, including the Archdiocese of San Francisco. Today is, therefore, not a holy day of obligation.
