Most Reverend Robert F. Christian, O.P., Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of San Francisco, died unexpectedly, at his residence, on July 11. He was ordained a bishop in June 2018, and was appointed rector and president of St. Patrick's Seminary & University in January 2019.
