Father Matthew Schneider is a professor at Saint Patrick’s Seminary and is the President of the Board of Autistic Catholics. He is an autistic Catholic priest and wants to promote better inclusion of autistic individuals in our Church. He has been invited to present on autism and Catholicism to various groups from Catholic schoolteachers in Vancouver, to the (arch)dioceses of Philadelphia and Arlington, to a few individual schools and parishes throughout the USA and Canada, to the Institute on Theology and Disability, to the Canadian association for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, to the Italian Bishop’s Conference, to Duquesne University, to the Center for Autism and Theology at the University of Aberdeen. I was also invited to write a chapter for an upcoming disability book form Word on Fire, and have been interviewed extensively on autism and Catholicism by various media outlets. He is the aware winning author on autistic prayer, God Loves the Autistic Mind: Prayer Guide for Those on the Spectrum and Those Who Love Us, won the top book on prayer for the year from the association of Catholic publishers in 2023. I am also well known online at @AutisticPriest on Facebook and Twitter.
