The SF Turkey Drive is just to feed the hungry!
Pierre Smit started the SF Turkey Drive from his home in San Francisco in 2012. Every year, for Thanksgiving and for Christmas, the SF Turkey Drive collects turkeys or monetary donations to help feed the hungry in our community.
One hundred percent of all donations go directly to the non-profit donors selected from the following two organizations: San Francisco-Marin Food Bank and/or St. Anthony Foundation.
In the past five years, the SF Turkey Drive provided enough food and funds to prepare over 275,000 meals for the hungry. Your gifts will help continue this effort against hunger in San Francisco. Visit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqz8S6E9hiI for a KPIX-CBS report in 2022.
This year, on Saturdays November 23 and December 21 from 9 am till noon, we will be collecting Food and Funds.
- FOOD: turkeys (preferably frozen) and boxes of fresh vegetables can be dropped off on those days at 350 De Montfort Avenue, San Francisco.
