Theologian and popular speaker Dr Angela Franks will speak on the topic “Gender Ideology: What is True and False about Male and Female." The event is sponsored by Kolbe Academy-Trinity Prep and Ignatius Press.
Today ‘male’ and ‘female’ are a point of contention for some people. Is sex a matter of a feeling? Or is it about the body? Why do so many people find ‘gender fluidity’ so tempting an idea? This talk will explore these and other questions in light of an authentic understanding of the human person and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Angela Franks, PhD., is a writer, speaker, and Professor of Theology at St. John's Seminary in Boston, a Senior Fellow at the Abigail Adams Institute in Cambridge (Massachusetts), and a Church Life Journal Life and Dignity Writing Fellow. Her specialties include the Theology of the Body, the New Evangelization, and the thought of Hans Urs von Balthasar.
