The Police-Fire Mass originated as an annual way to honor the firefighters who lost their lives during the 1946 Herbert Hotel Fire and continues to honor all of our first responders.

The Mass is sponsored by the San Francisco Fire Department, San Francisco Police Department, the San Francisco Sheriff's Office, and the Archdiocese of San Francisco.
