Day one of the National Eucharistic Congress

The first day of the 10th National Eucharistic Congress included Eucharistic Adoration, Sacrament of Reconciliation, opportunities to browse exhibitions on Eucharistic Miracles and the Shroud of Turin, and veneration of the relics of the saints of the four routes of the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage and Blessed Carlos Acutis.

The evening session’s theme was “From the Four Corners” and included opening ceremonies where each of the four routes entered Lucas Oil Stadium followed by a Eucharistic Procession and an hour of Eucharistic Adoration led by Crookston Bishop Andrew Cozzens, the chair of the National Eucharistic Congress. Speakers included Cardinal Christophe Pierre, apostolic nuncio to the United States, Sister of Life Bethany Madonna, and emcees Montse Alvarado, Sister of our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity Miriam James Heidland, Father Josh Johnson.
