The Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption offers six noted speakers
in a series of reflections during Lent 2017. Each Saturday morning at 10:30,
beginning March 4 and ending April 8, all are welcome to
the Cathedral for these free public lectures.

Saturday March 4 “At the Foot of the Cross—the ultimate vantage point for seeing God’s Love.” Dr. Margaret Turek, Director of Department of Faith Formation & Evangelization, Diocese of Oakland.
Saturday March 11 “Zacchaeus, The Publican and the Prodigal Son; conversion stories from the New Testament.” Fr. Kevin Kennedy Pastor, Our Lady of Fatima Russian Byzantine Church, San Francisco.
Saturday April 8 “Penance—Its virtue, practice and role in the spiritual life.” Fr. James Garcia, Archdiocese of San Francisco.
Saturday March 18 “Grace and the Lenten Season” is explored by Fr. Robert Christian, OP, Master of Students, Western Dominican Province and adjunct professor at the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology, Berkeley.

Saturday April 1 “Meditations on the Seven Last Words.” A guided meditation by Fr. Victor Sczurek, O.Praem., Headmaster, Saint Michael’s Abbey Preparatory School, Silverado.
