Mass with Archbishop for World Day of the Sick

Archbishop to Celebrate Mass for
World Day of the Sick

Saturday, February 11, 11:00 a.m.

Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone will be principal celebrant at a special 11:00 am Mass for World Day of the Sick on Saturday, February 11, at which the Anointing of the Sick will take place. All are invited. The event is sponsored by the Order of Malta, which will arrange rides for people who need them.

The Knights of Malta say: “Bring a friend who is sick, and experience a ‘special time of prayer and sharing, of offering one’s suffering for the good of the Church, and of reminding everyone to see in his sick brother or sister the face of Christ who, by suffering, dying, and rising, achieved the salvation of mankind’" (from Pope John Paul II’s 1992 Letter Instituting the World Day of the Sick).

This year's theme as declared by Pope Francis is Amazement at What God Has Accomplished. Pope Francis's 2017 Letter is here. For information or assistance, please contact Kenneth Ryan, KM (see contact info below).world day of sick 2016
